Beautiful Berries

I have a small obsession with berries. Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries... They inspire me to think of delicious and beautiful ways to use them. I guess it reminds me of my childhood, hot summers of climbing blackberry trees in search of the ripest berries or looking in garden beds for the perfect strawberry.

So, this is what happens if you find some berries, maybe "accidently" have some Nutella in the house, and then driving to the market for some chocolate because I need it for "baking"...
This is a very easy fridge tart for summer afternoons, and you can use any berry you like as most of them are really delicious with chocolate.
Chocolate Berry Tarts - Makes 2 servings
For the crust:
180g Oreo cookies
35g Butter, melted
2tsp Nutella
For the filling:
120g Nutella
100ml Cream
50g Dark chocolate, broken into pieces
Prepare 2 mini tart pans, around 15cm in diameter, by lining it with a little butter. Place the Oreos in a food processor, and chop untill there are no big pieces left. Add the melted butter and Nutella, and blitz till combined. Divide this mixture between the tart pans, and press down into all the sides. Place in the fridge to set while preparing the filling.
Heat the cream in a saucepan untill just before boiling point, do not overheat. Place the broken up chocolate in a mixing bowl and pour the hot cream over it. Stir untill the chocolate is melted and it is well mixed. Add the Nutella and stir well. Pour this filling in the prepared tart pans and refigerate until needed. Top with fresh berries when serving the tarts.
Enjoy:)
